
Maple Popcorn
Perfect sweet treat for a movie night.
Equipment
- 2 9×13 Baking Dishes
- 1 Air Popcorn Popper
- 1 Medium Sauce Pan
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Un-popped Popcorn
- 1 Cup Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 Cup Butter
- 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250°F. Butter two baking dishes.
- Pop the corn kernels in the air popper or on the stove. Put the popped popcorn into a buttered bowl.
- In a medium sauce, melt the butter, maple syrup, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil and boil without stirring for 5-minutes.
- Add the baking sode and vanilla into the pot. Stir to combine. The mixture will foam up.
- Pour the sugar mixture over the popcorn and stir until entirely coated.
- Divide the coated popcorn between the two buttered dishes and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and enjoy.
