1 Air Popcorn Popper
1 Medium Sauce Pan
- 1 Cup Un-popped Popcorn
- 1 Cup Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 Cup Butter
- 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Preheat oven to 250°F. Butter two baking dishes.
Pop the corn kernels in the air popper or on the stove. Put the popped popcorn into a buttered bowl.
In a medium sauce, melt the butter, maple syrup, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil and boil without stirring for 5-minutes.
Add the baking sode and vanilla into the pot. Stir to combine. The mixture will foam up.
Pour the sugar mixture over the popcorn and stir until entirely coated.
Divide the coated popcorn between the two buttered dishes and bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and enjoy.
